I don't have .threads yet, so I don't know if this is an available option or not...

I think that attachments to a post need much more than just some text indicating their presence. A configurable image after the attachment text would really help them stand out because currently they are very easy to miss.

There is the []https://www.ubbdev.com/threads/php/images/icons/disk.gif[/] message icon, but I guess you mean that the "Attachment" link itself needs to be more conspicuous?

Yes, attachments have always been hard to see and has always required explaining to newcomers how to find them.

There was a hack that would display different icons depending on the attachment type (for example a .txt, .gif, .wav file...). If I recall correctly, it was in the old Perl version, I dont think anyone ported it. It would be a nice (and needed) feature, you have my vote.

MTO, that would be extra nice to have different configurable icons for different attachment file types!
